Albrecht Gehse is a painter of Expressive Visionary Realism. With sensitively designed portraits in the tradition of Realism, he managed to achieve a spectacular breakthrough in the early 80s. Since that time, the artist that emerged from the "Leipzig School", went his own way unswervingly. This has led him to paint ever more expressive society images, that rewarded him an unusual rank in Germany's contemporary art scene.

A temporary highlight is his magnum opus, the cycle "Riot - 50 Images of the World". Here you will find a wide selection of his works.
